Dogs are a mere reflection of our own souls. They take on our personalities, behaviors, and sometimes even our looks.

Dogs consume every part of our lives and that’s why we are so good at what we do!

Sophie and owners, Steve & Mary Beaver, Lafayette, IN

We got Sophie, a full blooded, female, German Shepard at 4 months. We have had 4-5 dogs in the family before, and we had to have our last dog euthanized due to cancer. From day one, Sophie was a challenge. This being the largest dog we had ever owned, she was indeed a challenge. We took her to a local pet store and went thru their puppy training. It was o.k. for small stuff, but we soon realized it would not be enough. A chance business card at a local grocery store introduced us to Mike Bryant of Let's Talk Dogs.

We called and Mike came out soon after. (That was impressive, this guy came to my house to assess my dog, and, us!). We signed up for 6 weeks that night. First visit, well, all we could do was talk about it all the way home. 1 hour and we saw a totally different dog!!! With each progressive session it became very evident that Sophie was learning fast, but so were we. I cannot overstate this, owners MUST be involved with the training. We signed on for the next 6 sessions and have never regretted any of it. We also made the change to raw dog food diet, more changes and a very healthy dog indeed.

So, you ask, Sophie is a perfectly trained dog. No. Why? Because every day you must reinforce the training. If you slack off, they do too. Mike taught us to continually reinforce what they have learned daily. Sophie is now part of our pack. She understands her position and will, occasionally test me to make sure I am still her pack leader. We highly recommend Let's Talk Dogs for topnotch dog training.
