About Us

Mike

For 20 years, Mike Bryant has consumed himself with the understanding of dog behavior, training, canine health and nutrition.  Luckily, he found me, his wife Rebecca who shares his same interests, passion and love for dogs.  Mike attended and graduated from West Virginia Canine College in 1991.  He consistently performed at the top of his class during hands-on training practices as well as classroom instruction.  Mike became so accomplished that he was primarily put in charge of handling the most aggressive dogs at the school.  He seemed to develop a rapport with these dogs that allowed him to successfully achieve positive results in managing problematic behaviors.

Mike’s experience and guidance has brought me to a new level of understanding canine behavior and nutrition.  Together we work side-by-side accompanied by our son, Conner, who also enjoys working with dogs and participating in our classroom instruction.  Let’s Talk Dogs was established in June of 2009 to meet the needs of a community filled with dog owners and potential future dog owners.  Our main goal is to provide hands-on classroom instruction and education to teach owners simple techniques to establish pack leadership, positive socialization practices, healthy diet and nutrition education, and common sense safety and prevention practices to keep our pets healthy and happy.

Let’s Talk Dogs offers a variety of services to meet the needs of every dog owner.  From the beginning stages of life of choosing a breed for your family, to temperament testing, to consults, to educational seminars, and group and private training sessions.  We are committed to making your time with us fun and affordable.  Ask us about our puppy party’s for a free training demonstration to be shared with friends and family.

Let’s Talk Dogs services are scheduled by appointment only.  We can work with you at your place or ours.  We are conveniently located just off State Road US 52 at 7334 S 1200 East, Otterbein, IN 47970.  To learn more you may email us at woof@letstalkdogs.info or call 765-413-527.

Don’t wait until canine behaviors are out of control.  Start today to build the bond that will last a lifetime!  Our pets only share a small chapter in our lives.  Let’s make every moment count!

Rebecca

Rebecca Bryant dog trainer Lafayette Indiana holding Chloe Dogue DeBordeauxHi, I’m Rebecca Bryant, proud owner of Let’s Talk Dogs. I remember as a young girl always wanting a family dog. I guess my parents were more cat people so the answer was always, “When you grow up and move out on your own, you can have whatever you want.” Well, I guess I showed them! When I met and married my husband, I had one Rottweiler and he had three and we merged together like the Brady Bunch. I have always had a heart for dogs and want to do my very best to take care of them. When we started losing our pets one by one to cancer, Mike and I began an endless search to find better feeding options that would guarantee the longevity of our pets’ life-spans. We were tired of losing our friends at such young ages. We were selfish and wanted to reap the benefits of the joy they brought to our lives for as long as possible. After many years of trial and error, consults and learning with holistic veterinarians and raw and natural food educators, we have finally come to know feeding practices we highly recommend.

Today, my primary focus is on managing the daily operations of Let’s Talk Dogs.  However, I am a social worker by trade and love building relationships with people as much as dogs.  I am available to provide educational seminars on a variety of topics, in-home consults, potty training expertise, and training for some of our more mild mannered canine clients.  Extreme dominance and aggression, these dogs are reserved for Mike!  I love my dogs and in fact I usually come to love your dogs too.  It is so easy to strive to be the best at what you do when you love doing it!  People appreciate quality work and dogs appreciate educated owners that can meet all of their canine needs.  Healthy pooches make happy pooches and happy well-behaved pooches make satisfied owners.  Dogs have become a way of life for me and that’s why I love Let’s Talk Dogs.

Conner

Conner Bryant assistant dog trainer lafayette indianaHey what’s up? I’m Conner Bryant. I’m 13 years old and I was raised in a pack. My parents spent a lot of time teaching me, as much as the dogs, about how to interact in a safe, yet fun way. From the time I was brought home from the hospital as a baby, I have always had at least 2 dogs in my life. Our dogs typically loved my mom so much that I decided I wanted a dog of my own. I can’t believe I ended up bonding with a Pit-bull puppy on Halloween Day in 2009 at a local pet event called the “Critter Fest.” It took my parents a lot of convincing that I was ready for a dog of my own, especially a Pit-bull, but just before Thanksgiving Day, they brought her home.

I named my dog Kinsey, but somewhere along the way, I began calling her Capi-Boo (Capi) for short. With my dad’s help and guidance, I have trained her and she’s the best.

I am now a very educated dog owner and have earned the privilege of helping out at Let’s Talk Dogs training sessions. For dogs that don’t understand how to behave well around children, I know exactly what to do to help make them feel at ease. I love dogs and you’ll be seeing me hanging around helpin’ out whenever I’m available.
